Tidemyst Haven
Privacy Policy
In short
- Everything happens on your phone. The author of the app receives no data and has no access to it.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no accounts.
- The screen is captured only to read the diamond board. Screenshots are processed in memory and are not sent anywhere.
- The only internet connection: on start, the app checks GitHub for a new version and downloads it. No data about you is sent.
Who is responsible for the app
Tidemyst Haven is a free app made by one person (Thashar). The author runs no server and collects no user data. Contact: GitHub Issues.
Screen capture
When you start the overlay, Android asks you to allow screen recording. The app uses the picture only to find and read the diamond board. Frames are analysed in the phone's memory and discarded right away. They are not saved and not sent anywhere.
The save button on the bar is the only exception: when you tap it, the current frame is saved as an image in Pictures/TidemystHaven on your phone, so you can show a wrong reading to the author yourself. Nothing is saved without that tap.
What is stored on the phone
- settings: the chosen options, the position of the bar and the language,
- an error report, if an error closes the app – it is shown on the next start, and you decide whether to copy it and send it to the author; then it is deleted,
- the downloaded new version of the app, until it is installed.
This data is kept in the app's private storage. Other apps cannot read it.
App updates
On start, the app asks the public GitHub repository Thashar/Tidemyst-Haven whether there is a newer version. If there is, it downloads the installation file, checks it and offers to install it – you always decide, and Android asks for confirmation as well. The request contains no data about you, only the app version. Like any server, GitHub sees your phone's IP address; see the GitHub privacy statement.
App permissions
- Display over other apps – the marks and the bar over the game.
- Notifications and foreground service – Android requires a notification while the screen is being read.
- Screen recording – reading the board; Android asks every time you start the overlay.
- Internet – only checking for and downloading new versions from GitHub.
- Install apps – passing a downloaded new version to the Android installer. Android asks for permission the first time and for confirmation every time.
How to delete data
- Uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.
- Saved frames are ordinary images in
Pictures/TidemystHaven– delete them in the gallery.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts processing data differently, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed.
Tidemyst Haven
- ustawienia: wybrane opcje, położenie paska i język,
- pobrana nowa wersja aplikacji, do czasu jej instalacji.
Dane są w prywatnej pamięci aplikacji. Inne aplikacje nie mają do nich dostępu.
Aktualizacje aplikacji
Jeśli jest, pobiera plik instalacyjny, sprawdza go i proponuje instalację – zawsze decydujesz Ty, a Android dodatkowo prosi o potwierdzenie.
Uprawnienia aplikacji
- Wyświetlanie nad innymi aplikacjami – znaczniki i pasek nad grą.
- Instalowanie aplikacji – przekazanie pobranej nowej wersji do instalatora Androida.
- Zapisane klatki to zwykłe obrazy w folderze
Obrazy/TidemystHaven– usuń je w galerii.
Zmiany polityki
Jeśli aplikacja zacznie przetwarzać dane inaczej, ta strona zostanie zaktualizowana, a data na górze strony zmieniona.
